Maria del Mar Alfaro

María del Mar Alfaro is proud to be a native Costa Rican, mother, surfer and female business owner who lives her mission of providing local, sustainable tourism and empowering women through Del Mar’s surf camps. Surfing, the ocean, and her beautiful country feeds her spirit, as does living an active, healthy lifestyle. Based in Nosara since 2013, Maria loves the simplicity of beach life, including the chill pace and gorgeous sunsets. She considers herself lucky to have transformed her passion for surfing into her life’s work. She also has a strong background in tourism and hospitality businesses.
