Alegría River Hideaway and Retreats

Enjoy an authentic off-the-grid living in the Costa Rican jungle at San Juanillo, Guanacaste.

This special property of about 7 hectares is surrounded by a river at the lower part of the land. Going uphill, enjoy green mountains, big palm trees and the fresh breeze at a big yoga deck. On the top of the hill, a home currently under construction faces San Juanillo beach.

Alegría Hideaway has five cabins that are made to enjoy nature. Next to the river, from these cabins enjoy the soothing sound of the water flowing. Each cabin has its private deck, air conditioning or fans and an open bathroom, and a king or queen bed.

Just a few steps is a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious hang out space, tables and chairs for 20 to sit, hammocks and a fire pit to hang out under the stars.

The property now features satellite internet, enhancing the convenience for guests visiting Alegria Village. It’s the perfect amenity for those seeking to immerse themselves in the jungle while staying connected with loved ones, working remotely, or simply indulging in modern comforts. Whether it’s staying in touch, working from home, or just embracing the sheer pleasure, this addition offers a seamless blend of jungle immersion and connectivity.

The yoga deck is an open air space with 180 degree view over the magical Costa Rican jungle. It has its own bathroom and lounge area to chill. Facing a national park, it is amusing watch all types of birds. butterflies, vegetations and howler monkeys.

Perfect for yoga teachers and trainers, for movement and dancing. Of course is a place destined to nature lovers as well, and for those seeking comfortability but privacy too.

Lastly there is a house currently under construction. Of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with ocean view to San Juanillo beach, as you can see in the render pictures its beautiful design.

Alegría Hideaway is a place used for retreats, workshops and all types of activities. Guests leave satisfied after enjoying a disconnection from the busy world and tune with nature. Floating in the river, howler monkeys passing by, hikes, doing yoga with an amazing valley view, and watch the stars in a clear sky are some of the daily activities these guests get to enjoy.

Located 15 driving away from San Juanillo and Tree Tops white beaches. Close too to Ostional beach well known from the turtle “arribada” and for its surf point. Marbella, Pitaya and Nosara are some other near by beaches, and about 45 minutes is Nosara.
